There you were
You stood there
I felt another.
Ghastly wind stalked around
Unholy footsteps prodded the ground
Yet unmoved was the cradle.
Shivered bodies did not shake
The bow did not break
As predetermined in a season.
Summer nights came and went with the morning dew
Are forgotten days still a few?
The artist has long conceived and drew
Motivation from the times in which I held you.
Not only I, but you held me fast
In my time of torment ever last.
There you were
You stood there
And I shuddered with downcast eyes
Having nothing to say
Indeed, opposing forces came against us that day
As our eyes were opened up to see
The blind fool called destiny.
There you were
There we were
Undoubtedly, it was that final kiss
That ensued unbearable dismiss
Of the scorching fire between us.
To believe in loving and losing
May be to one starkly amusing
While to another
It may be fond memories of each other
Time they once shared there.
We both stood there, amazed.
And have returned from that place, unscathed.
Indeed forever,
The stars of the sky shall brightly burn.
So does the heart yearn.
